Rambo

Amazing dog alert! 4-year-old Rambo is an amazingly easy boy. Many dogs come to us that need the companionship of another dog: not Rambo, he is confident, excellent in the house, and loves his people. Rambo is dog friendly and ignores farm animals and deer. He is gentle with children and adults, never jumps on people, and a quiet dog. He does have a BIG bark to alert about intruders, if needed, but it's a very rare experience. Rambo is kennel trained but prefers not to be kenneled. He has great house manners! Rambo is quite athletic outside, and loves chasing balls, running with kids, and exploring. He is wonderful off leash and does not bolt. While Rambo does like to chase adult cats, this special boy helped raise bottle baby kittens and was an exceptional surrogate “mom”. We think he would do well with kittens that grow up with him. Rambo walks wonderfully on a leash, loves car rides, giving kisses, and being around his people. Rambo’s special trick is sticking his tongue out at you if you do it to him— it’s so cute! Rambo weighs approximately 80lbs and has the softest fur. Rambo would truly make an amazing addition to any home and has the perfect demeanor and emotional intellect to be an all-star service dog. Rambo is currently in a foster home in Fort Worth, TX. He has undergone treatment for heartworms and is now heartworm negative. Rambo enjoys the company of other dogs, especially lower-energy or submissive dogs. He learns new routines easily and is truly eager to please. He would make an amazing first dog, retirement companion, or a dog for an active younger family. He is truly versatile!
