Maya

Maya is such a cute, compact and sweet girl. She was cared for by a whole neighborhood in Houston, but was later picked up by animal control. At the overpopulated shelter, she quickly went last call and we stepped up and rescued her! Maya loves other dogs and is a very gentle girl. She loves car rides and walks! Maya warms up quickly to new people and gives the most gentle kisses. Sheis so very lovable with her ear to ear smile and submissive playfulness. She is crate trained, house broken, and walks well on a leash. Maya is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and is now heartworm negative! Maya clearly had a rough life on the streets and has an old shotgun injury to her right rear leg. She has two BBs that are just under her skin on that right rear leg and two in her chest. They aren't causing any discomfort or health issues, but are a reminder of her rough past. Despite this previous trauma, Maya is such a grateful and fun-spirited girl.
