Mallory is a gentle and slightly timid love bug whose sweetness will make anyone a "big dog person." Mallory is believed to be a Rottweiler/Boxer mix. She had been a stray at Dallas Animal Services, where she gave birth to a litter of 12. She was an excellent momma, and all of her babies were adopted out. Sadly, Momma Mallory overstayed her welcome at the shelter and was to be euthanized for space. That's when we stepped in! Mallory has proven to be a perfect house guest. She loves all of her foster siblings (dogs, big and small!), and is perfectly house trained. Mallory feels most comfortable sleeping in a crate until she fully trusts a new home. She knows how to sit and walks well on a leash. Mallory is also very calm in the car and loves to rest her head on your shoulder or lap. She is gaining confidence in a home on the daily and recently had a big shift to preferring to be in the house to in the yard. She's still timid when it comes to things like ceiling fans, doors slamming, and really big movements, but her heart and soul want to trust and be loved. She doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body. Mallory has a nurturing spirit and was definitely a very caring mom to her litter. Anyone who adopts this docile lady will be blessed with eternal gratitude, love and gentle sweetness. Mallory is spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
